Thank you for a meaningful year with a deep focus on resilience and community building.
We began 2025 as wildfires ravaged Los Angeles. Then another historic hurricane in Florida and devastating floods in Texas sounded the alarm that we live in unprecedented times.
More and more people are connecting the dots between their mental, physical, and emotional health and climate change. Read our full 2025 Impact Report here.
Young people are especially worried. A recent global survey of young people found that 85% experience eco-anxiety. In the United States, changes at the federal level have placed environmental laws and regulations, public lands, our health, and scientific research in jeopardy, causing more frustration and worry.
We need systems change to protect the environment, but that’s unlikely to happen at the national level in the United States for awhile. As a result, community has never been more important. From Wilmington to Nashville to Santa Monica, we’ve found the OneGreenThing message of hope through intergenerational action resonates.

Despite the uncertainty, we’ve made big strides in encouraging people to to find their Service Superpowers and take climate action in their communities. Our Green Civics Curriculum has been a bright light- what a joy to welcome young people around the world in community and in service to work toward the world we want. We’re especially proud of our global partnership with Lyreco UK & Ireland in launching an eco-anxiety program for students and the Lyreco leadership team.
