Earth Day: Past, Present & Future - OneGreenThing Online Workshop
In this OGT workshop, OneGreenThing founder Heather White discusses the history of Earth Day, the legacy of Senator Gaylord Nelson, the reach of Earth Day, and the vision for the future. Millions of young people in the 1970s took action to highlight the need for environmental protection. Their actions accelerated the passage of the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and many other landmark environmental laws. We CAN do big things!
In this workshop, you'll also learn how you can find your Service Superpower, ease eco-anxiety, and adopt a daily practice of sustainability - a one green thing. Your efforts can help shift the culture toward big climate solutions. Earth Day is a driver of this important culture shift and a reminder that we CAN create a healthier, greener, more just future.
