Raven West

Raven West is enjoying a gap year before they attend the University of Vermont next fall. They are a passionate public speaker, and in high school competed at the National Speech and Debate Tournament with an original oratory centered on mental health. They spent a year as a “Kid Reporter” for TIME magazine’s student edition Time for KIDS, and also served on Governor Steve Bullock’s Youth Leadership Council to fight childhood hunger. In their free time, they perform and teach aerial dance, as well as give swim lessons to kids with special needs. They plan to pursue a career in medicine or psychology -- their goal is to leave this world better than they found it.
