Alexa McMynn

Alexa McMynn is an undergraduate student at Colorado Mesa University majoring in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology. She grew up on a small ranch in Colorado, which inspired her love for animals and the outdoors.

Alexa is especially interested in conservation, ecology, and sustainable land management. Through volunteer work, outdoor recreation, and my studies, she has developed a strong appreciation for the connection between healthy ecosystems and thriving communities. She loves mountain biking, rock climbing, dirt biking, backcountry skiing, and spending time outdoors and with animals whenever possible.

This summer, Alexa interned with One Green Thing and learned more about community engagement, sustainability initiatives, and environmental advocacy. She looks forward to gaining knowledge and experience while exploring ways to help create positive environmental change, day by day.
